Using go to definition to walk through your code


In this tutorial you will learn how to traverse through the source code inside Visual Studio by using the Go To Definition feature.

What is Go To Definition

Inside Visual Studio you have an option to go to the definition of the class, method, variable, property etc if you have the source code available with you. This feature helps you in understanding the source code for a project if you are new to the project.

How does go to definition work

All you have to do is right click on the word whose definition you want to see. If you have the source code for that word then Visual Studio will take you to the definition.
